## Descripción

Este plugin crea un cuadro de búsqueda que los afiliados de Booking.com pueden implementar
en su página web usando su ID de afiliado.

If you’re not an Affiliate Partner yet, you can still implement the plugin. To get
the most out of the plugin and earn commission, you’ll need to sign up for the [Booking.com Affiliate Partner Programme](https://www.booking.com/affiliate-program/v2/index.html).

Para implementar el cuadro de búsqueda, arrastra el plugin de la barra lateral de
la zona de widgets para publicarlo. ¡Y ya está!

Once installed, you can choose a pre-filled destination for the search box. This
destination is linked to a destination ID, avoiding potential issues for multiple
cities with the same name. You can also change the pre-filled destination for each
page or post where the search box is displaying, thanks to the meta box feature 
showed at the end of the editing area.

#### Personalizaciones posibles

 * Añade tu ID de afiliado (ej. 382821): recuerda que es distinto del ID de establecimiento,
   que suele empezar por «4».
 * Adjust the width of the search box (min-width is 200px)
 * Introduce un destino en el campo de búsqueda para que se muestren resultados 
   filtrados
 * Añade una opción con fechas flexibles
 * Preset check-in and check-out dates
 * Personaliza el logo de Booking.com: disponible en blanco o azul y en 3 tamaños(
   150×25, 200×33, 300×50)
 * Cambia la posición del logo: centro, izquierda o derecha
 * Configura por defecto un destino concreto. Para filtrar los resultados de búsqueda,
   puedes determinar el tipo de página de destino, como ciudad o lugar de interés,
   además de un ID específico de destino.
 * Elige destinos específicos para cada página y post
 * Cambia los colores principales: fondo, texto, fondo del botón, borde del botón,

## Instalación

**Primera instalación**

 1. Descarga el archivo .zip desde esta página
 2. Inicia sesión en tu inicio de WordPress
 3. Ve a Plugins >> Añadir nuevo. En Instalar plugins, haz clic en Cargar y usa el 
    botón del navegador para buscar el archivo .zip que te has descargado en el paso
    1.
 4. En cuanto esté activado, podrás empezar a usar el cuadro de búsqueda en la sección**«
    Apariencia >> Widget**
 5. Usa la página de configuración para personalizar tu cuadro de búsqueda si es necesario.

**Siguientes actualizaciones**

 1. Solo tendrás que actualizarlo mediante el panel de plugins

The Booking.com Official Search Box plugin can be placed on a sidebar and also in
the content of a page (via Block Editor). Multiple search boxes in different widget
areas in the same page would affect the functionalities. However, you can use the
Meta Boxes feature to display the same widget with different destinations for each
post and page.

Once installed the plugin causes errors in the pages and posts are repeated with
errors. Support does not exist, no one has answered in the forum for months …

It is useless if you need to select dates for the next year. It shows past months
but not next year's. I got one more, bigger problem. If you type a destination with
more than two words, it sends it to Booking with strange numbers in between (New
Zeland => New 20Zeland) and that makes the search completely useless.

The experience with this company is terrible. 1. Their plugin doesn't work and is
very limited. 2. They don't honor their affiliates with money. They will arbitrarily
say you don't "pass" their "quality test". So don't waste your time.
