Mostrar banner en el index de mi blog

Quiero colocar un banner encima del primer post así que, justo al comienzo del index.php, inserto el script que llama al banner pero no se muestra nada 🙁

Al principio pensé que podría ser un problema de compatibilidad de los navegadores pero he probado con varias versiones de IE, Chrome y FF y nada. No se ve el banner en ningún caso.

¿Alguien podría decirme qué es lo que estoy haciendo mal o dónde cree que puede estar el problema?
