Reseñas

Bounced emails

I recently suffered from a lot of out of date emails being bounced. Support at MailPoet – Bruna was very helpful and put me on the right path to data validation. The support was quick and very helpful.

Dismiss the MailPoet 3 update nag screen

I moved a client website to a new host to update from PHP 5.5 to PHP 7, which is now compatible with MailPoet 3. I’m not interested in updating to MailPoet 3, however, until some other issues like WP 5.0 and potential theme incompatibility are cleared up.

When I updated the MailPoet 2 plugin, I got the nag screen to update to MailPoet 3. To dismiss the nag screen, I had to scroll to the bottom and click on the link to the version in the lower right and then on the “You’ve Updated to MailPoet 2.x.x” screen, scroll to the bottom and click on the “Thanks! Now take me to MailPoet” button. Is there an easier way to dismiss the nag screen? If not, will you please add one?

Thanks,
Tim

NEVER USE MAILPOET – LET THIS BE YOUR WARNING

Here’s my story about why you should never use MailPoet. I am a premium subscriber to the MailPoet service and it has worked reasonably well with hiccups for the past year.

However, it stopped working two days ago. Continually got error messages and my emails did not go out. I repeatedly contacted MailPoet, gave them admin access to my site to see what the problem was, and was informed twice that the problem was “malformed” emails and to delete them and try to send again. Nope.

Not a single step worked to fix the problem. I have spent precious hours trying to send out the emails.

The icing on the cake, however, was a final attempt by one of MailPoet’s help team during which she deleted entirely *one month’s worth of emails* but still insisted the problem had been solved.

The problem has not been solved. I am missing one month’s worth of emails, just gone up in smoke and use those emails for other purposes.

I demanded that someone call me. I have heard nothing. But I learned my lesson. DO NOT USE MAILPOET!
