For example, consider you made a shortcode “advertisement”. Then you should use the shortcode [sc name="advertisement"] in your post.

How to temporarily disable a shortcode ?

Just check the “Temporarily disable this shortcode” in the shortcode admin page to disable it.
Note: When you disable a shortcode, the shortcode will not be executed in the page.

Very useful plugin

We are using this plugin for years now and it always worked fine. Never had any issues. Its a very useful plugin as you can create as many shortcodes you want with any HTML, Javascript or whatever content you need. I found it extremely useful to create buttons with mouse-over images as this is something WordPress doesn’t allow otherwise. I highly recommend it. Thank you for this and please continue the great work!

Good plugin

Good plugin… But when I switch from plain editor to WP’s Visual editor, all written code lost. Surprise. May be, local storage can help? $)

WHY!?? Makes me crazy

Hello! Must say GREAT plugin, BUT, there is one thing that makes me crazy!
Why there is an autocorrect for &lt; to “<” in this plugin!!????
I want visually to display some source codes and comments on my site (I make html and css tutorials), but I can’t do it now after plugin’ new version!
When I make shortcode and save it for the first time – it works ok, but after editing it and saving again – the plugin autocorrect &lt; to “<” ! Hate it!

As the result we get this (not correctly closed div tag):

<div>
    some text
 div>

Excellent Work

This is going to win me so many hours of time on sites where I have to use the same template over and over again. Absolutely love it!
